On Slower Days
(Graphic Design, Filming and Video Editing)
These days, many Singaporeans live in a fast paced lifestyle and spend a huge amount of time at work or in school. This inadvertently greatly reduces their time spent to slow down. As a result, many suffer dire consequences to their mental well-being and interpersonal relationships. Hence, On Slower Days is a four-part series project understanding the fast-paced culture of Singapore.
Part one
De(ac)celerate
A detailed publication of an examination on both fast and slow living. Interviews were also carried out with 20 individuals to gain firsthand insights into the problem, as most secondary research online was generalised to Singapore.
Part Two
Singapore Today
An ethnographic video that shows some repeated observations that can be seen around us in Singapore as an effect of fast living.
Part Three
Uncertainty
A video that questions the need for validation in life through stories of three young adults living in a fast-paced lifestyle.
Part Four
On Slower Days
A documentation video where eight young adults gathered together to experience a slower paced morning, as our morning rituals are usually rushed.
